Desiree Glazier-Nazro is an extremely versatile percussionist with a very diverse career. She has had the pleasure of performing with amazing artists such as The Beach Boys, Tony Bennet, Hugh Jackman, Andrea Bocelli, Andy Williams, "Weird Al" Yankovic, Bobby McFerrin, and Warren Haynes to name a few.
Desiree's diverse career includes playing percussion for many shows including, Ain't Too Proud, Final Fantasy, Rocktopia, The Legend of Zelda, as well as dozens of musicals. In addition to her work in musical theater shows and national acts, Desiree is a regular performer with prestigious orchestras in the Boston area, including the renowned Handel and Haydn Society among others.
In addition to her achievements as a percussionist, Desiree is the co-founder and lead pan player of Steel Rhythm. Alongside her husband, skilled drummer Adam Nazro, they established the group in 2006 and have since captivated audiences worldwide. Their talent led them to perform at prestigious events such as the "Pre World Series Gala" at Fenway Park in 2018 and the New England Patriots Cheerleaders' "Calendar Launch Party." Steel Rhythm's music can be enjoyed on various streaming platforms, including their highly popular YouTube channel, boasting over 8 million views.
Desiree has degrees from The Hartt School of Music (summa cum laude) and The Boston Conservatory. Along with her passion for music, Desiree also enjoys traveling, skiing, running (3 marathons) and spending time with family and friends.
